Please refer patients who are in need of long acting contraception to IUD Clinic and cannot get a timely appointment in Family Medicine or GYN clnic. The clinic is in Martinez, every 4th Friday of the Month from 5:30-8:30pm.
Appropriate referrals include:
Clients who will lose restricted Medi-cal prior to available follow-up in primary care clinic or GYN clinic.
Failed IUD/Implanon insertions in clinic.
Removal of Implanon
Do NOT send patients with lost IUD strings or GYN referrals. Please refer these clients to GYN clinic.
Patients who cannot make an evening appointment in Martinez, please refer the patient to a Women's Health Clinic by contacting Public Health 877-616-8674.
